Standard Sizes and Lid Tolerances

Hey everyone!

I'd like to start off by saying thank you to everyone who has supported Evo Designs before and after the store launch! There are a few things that I would like to talk about regarding Custom Orders and future services.

I am currently not accepting any Custom Orders because I have changed a few things with my models which were making things very difficult. I didn't have a standard size between different case sizes because most of the time I would edit the design on the fly and send it to print. This made dimensioning off by less than 1mm, which was unnoticeable but it bothered me and made ordering lids difficult.

The next thing I would like to talk about are the lids that I've been receiving from my supplier. There is nothing wrong with the quality that was being produced, it's just that I cannot control their tolerances even when I have a correct model. There are many variables in 3D printing and there is one that I cannot control which is shrinkage between filament brands, colors, and infills, add that in with an outside variable of the lid tolerance just throws it all off. I'm pushing to purchase a laser cutter so I can control tolerances between the lids and adjust for them on the go without having to wait a couple weeks for new lids.

With that being said, I will be offering the last of my current sizes at discounted prices so I can prepare for the incoming laser printer. I have kept track of which case sizes were sold and the models are going to be kept just incase anyone would like a lid replacement in the future. Once these cases are sold out, then I will open up custom orders with the option to add engravings/images onto the lids and the ability to have lid add-ons.

Also, I have added the ability for you to leave reviews on your recent purchases. These would be greatly appreciated whether you liked your product or not, your feedback helps us grow!

Again, I would like to thank everyone for their support! This will be our new announcement page that will be linked on Instagram and Reddit from now on.

Cheers,

Christopher
